Mercies at Midnight: Seeking God Through Sleeplessness – “Nighttime was no dead, blank space to these saints of old — a time when, functionally, God was absent. God was near in these watches of the night (Psalm 63:6; Psalm 119:148), there to be sung to, prayed to, remembered, loved.”
